
Pet Sitters International Partners with Dog Fancy Magazine and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers for the 2010 Take Your Dog To Work Day Campaign
Pet Sitters International (PSI), creator of Take Your Dog To Work Day®, has announced Dog Fancy Magazine and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) as the official partners for its annual Take Your Dog To Work Day (TYDTWDay®) campaign. Friday, June 25, marks the 2010 event.
PSI President Patti Moran launched the first TYTDWDay more than a decade ago to celebrate the human-canine bond and promote local pet adoption.
“Bringing pets to work is a fun, proactive way for businesses across the world to promote local pet adoption,” Moran said. “Dog Fancy and APDT are two great organizations that share PSI’s love of pets and a commitment to responsible pet care.”
Businesses and pet lovers interested in learning how to GO FURRY to promote pet adoption on June 25 now have access to resources and tools to plan a successful event.
The TYDTWDay Web site, www.takeyourdog.com, offers a free downloadable action pack, including a sample Dogs at Work policy, an employee participation form and tips for partnering with local shelters and pet professionals. The site also provides promotional materials for office event organizers, including a customizable poster and employee participation sign. .
Site visitors can submit photos of their professional pooch for the 2010 TYDTWDay Pet Photo Contest. In addition, visitors who register their support of the day will receive a complimentary downloadable copy of the 2010 TYDTWDay Waggy Deals™ featuring coupons and special discount codes on a variety of products for pet and pet owners.
