TYDTWDay Photo Contest Winner Announced--Meet Ouzie!

Working like a Dog pays off for New Jersey Pooch

PSI announces Take Your Dog to Work Day 2008 Photo Contest Winner

It was just another day at the offices of IMC, a New Jersey-based marketing agency, for one year old Brussels Griffon, Ouzie, Jr.  But his participation in Pet Sitters International’s Take Your Dog To Work Day® has paid off for both Ouzie, Jr. and the Tinton Falls Animal Care Center in Tinton Falls, NJ.

Ouzie, Jr. was selected from hundreds of entries in the Professional Pooch Gallery at takeyourdog.com, the official site for Take Your Dog To Work Day (TYDTWDay).  The day, created in 1999, celebrates the great companions dogs make and encourages adoptions from local shelters, rescue groups and humane societies.

“When I uploaded his photo for the contest I just knew he would win,” says Ouzie, Jr.’s mom, Kristen Hartman.  “When we received the news my whole office celebrated.  I gave Ouzie a big hug and even had a cake in his honor.”

As winner of the TYDTWDay photo contest, Ouzie, Jr. and Kristen Hartman received a $500 cash prize and a $500 donation was made to the shelter of Hartman’s choice, the Tinton Falls Animal Care Center.

Ouzie, Jr. also received gift baskets from the 2008 event sponsors, Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® and the PSIStoreOnline.com.

Take Your Dog To Work Day 2009 will be celebrated on Friday, June 26.  Pet Sitters International encourages businesses to open their doors to their employees’ dogs on this one fun summer Friday to promote pet adoption in a positive and proactive way.
